SCO Doctor Error Messages
This appendix contains an alphabetic list of important error messages:

The specified alert's paragraph in the /usr/lib/doctor/alert/alert.cf file is incomplete. The alert can still be run but it can not be edited from the

Description:

process, invoked with the -L can run on a system. If an attempt is made to run a second agent with this listening switch, it will display this message and terminate.

This license is invalid. Please check that you have entered it correctly.

Description:
Doctor for Networks performs dynamic agent license allocation. You enter Agent licenses on the Doctor for Networks system and these are distributed to remote Agent systems when a connection is made. If you have no Agent licenses or have used what licenses you have connecting to other Agent systems, you will receive this message.

When you create a remote login session to a system,
doctor
uses a pseudo tty on the remote system. If it fails to open a pseudo tty this message will be displayed. If the remote system does not have any pseudo ttys configured, you can not use the remote login capability.

Description:
The specified database does not exist, is corrupt, or you do not have permission to open it. Check that the file exists in the
/usr/spool/doctor/db/system/ directory.

You do not have permission to perform the task you have just attempted. If you are not logged in as root you may be denied access to portions of the
doctor
user interface if you have not been granted sufficient privilege. See the Config Security menu. You may also be denied access to a remote system if it denies certain operations to other systems.
