File System Configuration Table

Function:

Description:

Data Fields:

Name - The name of the filesystem device file.

Type - The type of filesystem or partition.

Disk - The number of the disk drive containing the filesystem.

Blocks - The number of blocks allocated to the filesystem.

Start - The starting block number of the filesystem.

Files - The maximum number of files.

Block_size - The underlying block size in bytes.

If you are using a Logical Volume Manager (or Virtual File System), the filesystem will be placed on the disk in segments. Thus the starting block number will be a virtual block address and not correspond to a physical location.

NOTE: The raw device files that correspond to the entire disk will also be present in the table.
