Hardware Configuration View

Select View, Configuration, Hardware.

Hardware Table

Function:

To display the system hardware configuration.

Description:

This view displays a table of the hardware configuration for the system. Each row corresponds to a different item of hardware.

Data Fields:

Item - The name of the hardware item.

Description - The full description of the hardware item.

Interrupt - The interrupt request line.

Memory - The memory base address.

Io - The I/O mapped memory base address.

Io_len - The length of the I/O mapped memory region.

Dma - The DMA channel.

NOTE: The value of a particular parameter will be zero if it is not in use. However, some hardware adaptors acquire their hardware resources at run time and do not update the system configuration files. Such adaptors may have zero for their memory value even though they use a memory window.

The hardware table is a static table and is only refreshed by the agent twice a day or on system reboot. Consequently, changes made to the hardware configuration without rebooting, may not immediately appear in the management database.
