IP Statistics View

IP Statistics View

Function:

To display statistics for the Internet protocol IP (Part of TCP/IP).

Description:

This view displays a horizontal bar graph depicting various IP network performance statistics on a per period basis.

Data Fields:

Txpkts - The number of transmitted data packets.

Rxpkts - The number of received data packets.

Txerrs - The number of transmit errors.

Rxerrs - The number of receive errors.

NOTE: As the underlying interface adaptor hardware should discard any bad packets, the IP protocol layer should have a very low error count. Any significant number of errors indicates a serious protocol configuration problem.
