System Queues View

Function:

• To display the current system queue statistics.

Description:

• This view displays two horizontal bar graphs. The first shows the number of processes that are loaded, runnable or sleeping. The second depicts the queue lengths of the run and swap queues. If there are consistently more than four processes on the run queue, the system may have a CPU bottleneck. Select the Process CPU View to examine which processes are causing the CPU load.

runnable - The number of processes ready to run and not waiting for any event.

loaded - The number of processes loaded in memory and not swapped to disk.

sleeping - The number of processes waiting for an event to occur.

runq_len - The length of the queue of runnable processes.

swapq_len - The length of the queue of processes waiting to be swapped to disk.
