The Reachable Alert

Function:
To detect unreachable remote systems.
Description:
This alert is triggered whenever a TCP/IP remote system does not respond to the
ping
command. Modem connected systems will not be checked. This alert is useful for closely monitoring the health of a local area network. For example by setting the period to 60 seconds you would immediately receive an alert if any system could not be reached. See also the
